Adventure As A Catalyst

Writer-photographer-creative director-filmmaker Alex Fuller lived in a big city, had a job she loved, friends, a house, a routine—everything that society says we should want. Adventure was there, but it was something she always had to make room for. “That just didn’t align with the vision we had for our lives. I wanted to find the space to explore and adventure again and take risks.” So Alex and her family traded city life for a remote town in the desert—a one-room schoolhouse, no grocery store kind of town. It’s not easy living, but Alex has the space that she was craving, the challenge that becomes fuel for creativity, and the freedom to live on her own terms. “No longer is adventure something I have to schedule in advance. I just walk out my damn door.”
