How to Measure

To calculate your own back length, measure from the shoulder to the upper edge of the pelvic bone.

When selecting your backpack size, there are two important criteria to consider: capacity and back length. On all Jack Wolfskin backpack models, the greater the back length, the larger the capacity of the main chamber. We give the back length for backpacks that are primarily used for treks of one or several days.

You can find the back length next to the product description on the product page of each backpack. Backpacks with "WOMEN" in the name indicate that the suspension system is designed for women, as opposed to our unisex models.

The NEW YORK 2IN1 FLIP BAG is an amazingly versatile piece of luggage. It is a day pack, shoulder bag and briefcase in one – and provides at-a-glance access to your belongings.

The shoulder straps can be unfastened at the bottom and stowed away in the special pockets. This stops them getting in the way when you are using your NEW YORK FLIP BAG in shoulder bag or briefcase mode. The long, adjustable shoulder strap can also be detached.

The zip runs all the way around the bag. Unzip it completely, and you can open up the bag like a book for a full overview of the contents. The main compartment has plenty of room for a laptop and documents. Smaller items can be kept in the stash pockets and zipped pockets.

There’s a separate, zipped mesh compartment for a change of clothes. And there’s plenty of room in the front pockets for your train or plane tickets and anything else you want to keep handy. Thanks to the water resistant zips, everything stays dry.

You can also use the NEW YORK 2IN1 FLIP BAG as a backpack. The contoured, padded back system and shoulder straps hold the pack close to your body and make it very comfortable to carry.

Like all the products in our CITY LIFE series, the NEW YORK 2IN1 FLIP BAG has an ultra cool design and a tonal black colourway. Both the main fabric and the lining are made entirely from recycled materials. And for improved visibility – an important consideration when you’re on your bike – the bag is equipped with retroreflective detailing.
